oTunes: My favourite times at Orange Academy (Part 3)

Image
This post is a rejoinder. You should read the Part 1 and Part 2.   Time has wings. It flies! Four months ago, my journey to becoming an Orange Mind began with my enrollment into the school. Orange Academy is the school; Africa's premier practical school of branding and Kenny Brandmuse is the rebellious founder. The Academy boasts of a highly credible team of star-studded faculty including but not limited to Franklin Ozekhome , Tomi Ogunlesi , Idiare Atimomo , Olaolu Ogundeji, Lampe Omoyele , Tunde Phoster just to mention a few, Orange Academy is the birth place of Magicians and storytellers. In Orange, nothing but epic is allowed. Orange Academy is located at 3B Adesoye Close, Mende Maryland, Lagos, Nigeria. A healthy dose of FEAR and PRIDE. This is the daily dose of the Orange mind. In Orange, these two (Fear and Pride) constitute our own Hippocratic Oath. Every work is weighed-in on a very high scale. Nothing below extraordinary is permitted here. It...

Trend Oracle: Value Based Consulting©

My job as at the time of this publication is with Deloitte ; the number one professional service firm in the world with over 200,000 professionals in its workforce. My first job post NYSC was as an Associate Consultant in a leading indigenous firm with operations extending beyond the shores of Nigeria. I have been receiving newsletters from Accenture since my final year in high school. With this background, you won't be wrong to think that I have a few things to share about this industry. I must assert that being a Consultant is more like a calling to me.  The role of the Consultant is as nebulous as the concept itself but its more often than not about applying intellectual (sometimes proprietary) methods and tools to proffer solutions. I like to think of my job like that of a Medical Doctor with the difference being that I don't deal with the anatomy or physiology of homo sapiens. My patients are businesses and although I may not be sworn to an Hippocratic oat...

Debt of Gratitude (D.O.G)

Image
An ungrateful soul is like unto an armed robber who dispossesses one of one's valuables Yoruba Proverb Who says that we ought to be thankful only on thanksgiving day? Well, as a sworn rebel to everything that is called status-quo, I hereby declare such tradition ultra vires. Why? Because I say so. I have such a huge debt of gratitude for every good thing in my life. I am where I am today because of the invisible hand of Yahweh and the goodness of those that I have come across. My friends, family and even foes alike. This is my attempt to show my gratitude for everything that life has brought my way. This is not in anyway a name dropping affair. If I leave out any name, it is not a deliberate act. I am grateful for everything to everyone dead and living. Everything I have received is a big deal.   To God, for life and all that is in it. The author of life who I owe my breathe. This is not a matter of religion. I reckon that God is not an intel...

The replacement generation: In pursuit of new technology

"Productivity not novelty is the motivation for innovation". Once upon a time If our population continue to grow at this geometric rate with food production increasing at an arithmetic progression, cannibalism is inevitable. This was the postulation by Reverend Malthus . But for mechanization, humanity would have had to resort to eating ourselves. The rise of machines marked the beginning of a new productivity era known as the Industrial era. By sheer dexterity, man overcame the limitations that threatened to wipe him off the face of the earth. The ability to adapt is what makes man superior to other species. This explains why Dinosaurs don't exist anymore. This is the age that the brightest of minds from centuries past spoke about. This millennium was long prophesied. From Aristotle to Da Vinci and even Einstein, the greatest minds of the past eras saw beyond the limitations of their time and predicted the things that are now upon us. Now that the time...
