A letter from God
Dear son,
How are you doing today? (You know I am aware of this but it is good that I find out by asking). Trust me, I know one or two things about fulfilling all righteousness too. By now you should know I love humour. You can do better by not taking your life too serious you know. Hey! that's not a license to throw all caution into the wind. I am only saying that you should cast your cares on me. I got your back. You and I are one extraordinary unit.
You stormed out of the house today. I was really looking forward to spending sometime with you. I had so much to tell you. Creating time for me will save you a lot of wasted energy and resources you know. I am always speaking. All you have to do is tune to my frequency. And, I am a call away too and my network is robust enough to handle all traffic. The only thing that can frustrate this is your sin. If I behold any iniquity in your heart, I will not hear you. My grace is sufficient for you though. I am a Holy God and let everyone that calls my name depart from iniquity.
Lately, I have noticed that you are worried about the future. You know that's not part of your job description. I have assured you that all things are yours. Sufficient for today are the troubles in it. You see the Lillie's, roses of the field, the birds of the air? I feed them and meet their needs. How much more you that I made in my image. There is a piece of me inside of you son. My spirit is in you. You've got to remind yourself of this truth always. You are the apple of my very eyes. I am so mindful of you. Even the very hair on your head are numbered. So you shouldn't go bald (lol). I am serious son!
So, to that issue that seems to be a front burner in the capital of your mind. Marriage! Well, I created the institution as you know. What you must realise is that there is a purpose behind everything I made. Same goes for marriage. I have supplied you with many insights in the time past. I hope you remind yourself of these things. What I must let you know here and now is that I am all about process. I am not in control of all things. I have made it so. There is much your decision and your choice does to your outcome. Check my template for creation and you will see this demonstrated. On this subject of marriage, I will not have you ignorant. I am in the best position to tell you the truth because it is the knowledge of the truth that will set you free.
Son, I will have you grow in the knowledge of me so much so that you have got to let childish things pass. In this matter, I encourage you to grow up. He who finds a wife surely finds a good thing and obtains favour from me. I know you want my favour and it is my joy to give you that and more. You see son, the he who qualifies to find is he that has moved on up away from the mundane things. Much of the reasons why you don't get all you think you should is because of where you are. Your current maturity profile requires you to embrace discipline while I work with you to overcome the myriads of things that beset you. My grace is sufficient for you.
The same way I will not give a Lamborghini to a two year old is the way I will not give you the proverbs 31 woman if you refuse to embrace the virtues of a king. If I do, her strength and grace will suffocate you. So therefore, step up to the plate and be a king. I love you too much to give you what will kill you.
I have more to share with you. I love you
Yours truly,
Elohim.

Thank you 'Son', for sharing this letter with us. Many times, we forget that God's ability is not in question, our capacity is. It is a clear challenge to step up to the plate and be what we need to be so that God has confidence to bless us with we would then need. Little wonder He told Israel, ...By little and little I will drive them out from before thee, until thou be increased and inherit the land’ (Ex. 23:28-30).
ReplyDeleteThanks for enriching and encouraging me with this post. How God longs for our fellowship and for us to grow into maturity.

DeleteAnd, you should read my response following the letter from him. You can read it here: http://thepotmaster.blogspot.com/2013/05/a-letter-to-god.html
DeleteHello 'Evangelist of the Most High', I just read your letter to God. It resonated so deep, I have to go back to read it a few more times before I can comment, and comment I will. Will just say, 'beautiful' because I have found myself wondering in recent times just what I can do for God, asking myself what will bring Him pleasure, rather than approaching Him with a to do list and timelines...No way! So your letter, my dear friend was almost as though you read my mind as it reached out to just find out how God is doing.
DeleteThanks for reading my post yet again. Hmm, The 'Beyond Music' concert, I had a blast. It was truly 'Beyond Music'. To be honest, what it showed me was God's willingness to do beyond the ordinary when willing hearts are poured out to Him. The organisation was excellent and spot on and the presence of God was heavy but more than that, for me, it was the sacrifice of the LCGC themselves and God's honor of same that left me in awe. The musicians and the members of the choir, normal professional men and women who endured several weeks of after work rehearsals into the night and gave God all. It felt like a Jehoshaphat move where the musicians went first and although it seemed like just a concert, it was a declaration for me, that God is not done with Nigeria. Despite the raging of war in the land, as we worshipped, it felt like we were sending a voice into the heavens declaring the that the kingdoms of this world had become the kingdom of our God.
Okay, that's beginning to feel like a blog post in itself, LOL. I will send you an email okay? Will be honored to share a few thoughts of mine on your blog. Thanks for the honour and apologies that I am only just responding.
Cheers!
WOW! Sure feels like a blog post.(lol) Many thanks for your encouragement. I'm glad you had fun with the LCGC. Maybe I can join the choir myself. I have been "hounded" by folks for refusing to worship with my voice. It is refreshing to know that God is lifted up and that ALL IS WELL! I look forward to your mail and comment. Thanks and God bless you indeed.
DeleteLOL at hounding, that's 'korekt' hounding now, it's better than being hounded steadily to get married as though being single is some disease. LOL
DeleteYou are welcome. Just thought to share someone else's thoughts and pictures on 'Beyond Music'. http://www.tolukush.com/nodaysoff/lcgcandfriends/
Will be blogging later in the day, you may want to check that out when you can. :-). And yes, I will send you that email today, both of them by God's grace.
Okay brodamine,
