I dream

I dream

That the Labour of our heroes past shall not be in vain.

That Passion for the nation will become a population obsession.

That love will dilute hate. Respect will become a prized virtue. Excellence as an habit.

That no longer shall we think of the good for ourselves and our family alone but we help others to get ahead.

That we will rise above the various pockets of ethnological and parochial interest to embrace unity of purpose.

That religion will give way for meritocracy. That the barrenness of busy living will bow to effectiveness.

That the true definition of honour will mean more than titles.

That the very ropes of patriotism and national sentiment that bound us together will remain unbroken

That government at all levels will become astutely responsible.

That inspite of the Godless veil that is casted upon many, we'll stand for what is right. We'll stand for God.

That we will accord the same respect& amp; regard we accord to the rich man, same to the man of lesser means.

That the leaders will take it personal every time we lose a life as a result of pot holes on the road

That the fathers will be present to nurture the children. It is God's will.

That our older women will teach the younger women to take care of their husbands and their children as God expects.

That once again the dignity of Labour will precede us all. That the last man finds joy in what he/she does

That we will all embrace righteousness as a lifestyle without which there will be no genuine upliftment.

That our leaders will serve with the acute awareness that God is the ultimate judge of ALL. Do the right thing.

That our educational institutions will build leaders that serve
That electricity supply will be uninterrupted.

That our leaders will treat people with the knowledge that there is a piece of God in every single human

That in a time not too distant in the future, the life of every Nigerian will count for something.
