The Chronicles of a Brand Evangelist
Great
Products Don't Always Win
It’s amazing to see businesses in commodity segments trying to win on the basis of price. Such an attempt is tantamount to rat racing because even if you win, you are still a rat. As a matter of fact, doing business in today's fast paced world require more than going to the market with an excellent product (Great products don't always win). Beyond great products, what is your unique value proposition? You must pursue a HIGHER PURPOSE!
User
Experience (UX)
It's not what you do but how you do it. Wondering why there is no magic in your enterprise? I suggest that you take a more intrinsic look at your design philosophy. It may seem pedestrian but how your work stations are configured (some designs aid collaboration better) may affect the entire process. You've got to be deliberate! Brands don't just happen, they are essentially built
Re-thinking Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)
I believe that CSR shouldn't be a by-product or an after-thought. Executives can do better by aligning corporate strategy with public good. To do this will be a fair practice and a pursuit of higher purpose.
Be Prepared!
I join many who preach the golden sermon of confidence and optimism. However, we must do well to consider the downsides. Risk is anything that can go wrong and like the Boys Scout creed demand: we must be prepared!
Conscious Capitalism
It is a new era indeed. Millennial(s) like me aren't driven by the race for survival. Even though we do well to get our bills paid, we are driven by the higher purpose. We seek opportunities to add value to humanity. We'll only join an organisation that’s truly pursuing more than shareholder's value.
