Stay Hungry. Stay Foolish
Need I say that time has passed since my last post? There will be no room for such rhetoric. Not today.
So many waters have since passed under the bridge. As a student of life,Ii am happy to say that I have had my fair share of ups and downs. I have shared new experiences. I have had the opportunity to widen my horizon beyond some perimeters. In all, I can count my many blessings.
I am humble to say that I am wiser than yesterday. Even when I have had to regret some decisions, I'm glad I have the rare privilege of reflecting and coming to terms with my folly. The blessings of new relationships, the gift of old alliances are but a few of what makes life awesome. Fair share like I said, there have been loses that seemed very cantankerous in their effects, vacuums that have been created and not forgetting those down times;instances when I wish that moments could be re-enacted to make better decisions. It is well.
The output of these events form the input of the today which afford one the opportunity to really put things in better perspective. Listening to the late Steve Jobs remind you of how fleeting life can be. The fact that you cannot connect the dots looking forward, the truth that love and losses are part of life and the reality of death are constant reminders that life must be lived with intent. This piece in itself is not an eulogy for Steve Jobs but would serve the purpose of at least sharing some of the very powerful insights he lived by.
I'm deeply inspired by his life and of course his numerous game-changing feats. He lived an outstanding life to say the least. There is no gainsaying to assert that very few people ever get to empty themselves so much as he did. His life was exemplary. He was the highs and lows at different times in the continuum but was never deterred. He never quit. He was very passionate and strove for perfection. The testimonies are all around us. A sequel to the first Macintosh (one of his creations) finds home in the insanely cool section of the US national museum. Testimonial to his dexterity.
In his commemorative speech at Standford graduation some few years ago after surviving cancer diagnosis, he wrapped up that golden speech by saying "Stay Hungry. Stay Foolish". That statement is pregnant with so much wisdom that begs for deep pondering. It is loaded.
Whatever it is that is your current co-ordinates, I admonish you to continually charge yourself by chanting these same words.
Stay Hungry. Stay Foolish
