Dear Holy Spirit

Image
If the same spirit that was in Christ be in us, this same Spirit is able to quicken us. Dear Comforter,     I wrote to Elohim a while ago. I am very sure you got to read that letter too. I know this because you and the Father are one with the Son. I have taken the liberty to do you this letter at this time. I acknowledge your work today in the world. Thanks for being a comfort to me and many others who have especially been ravaged by the many challenges today. Thanks for adopting us. Thanks for leading us still. Things could be worse than they are right now. Before I speak you know so I won't pretend that nothing is wrong. On my way to work this morning, I heard of another bomb explosion in the capital city of my Country. Scores were killed with several injured. We seem to have lost count. We are still waiting for the return or recovery of the 200 girls who were taken from Chibok. You know the coordinates of these places better than I or any GPS tec...

"Open sauce": Thoughts on sharing economy

If you don't cannibalize yourself, somebody else will — Steve Jobs       The Coke legend. Imagine Coca Cola releasing its formula for Coke ? For all practical purposes, this is very much unlikely. Indeed, practical wisdom suggests that such time would never come. It appears that such a decision is not only stupid but highly suicidal. Coke is the flagship product in the very huge portfolio of the Coca Cola Company; one time biggest brand in the world. It is perhaps its most successful product that has spanned a century. It goes without saying that Coke has become such a universal symbol for happiness. Legend has it that the formula for Coke is locked up in a tightly secured destination. While this confers some form of mystery on the Coke brand, there are more reasons to believe that without its unique formula, Coke wouldn't be all that it is. There are those who will swear by Coke. The reason for such loyalty sure goes beyond th...

I will either find a way, or make one ― Hannibal      The end of competitive advantage. Rita McGrath is a professor at Columbia Business School. She is ranked by Thinkers 50 as one of the top thinkers of our time. In her latest book ( The end of Competitive Advantage ), she came up with a very bold proposition based on a singular idea that competitive advantage as we have been taught is no longer a valid pursuit for businesses that operate in today's postmodern economic environment. This is not only an audacious proposition but one that is highly contrarian. It is against the conventional wisdom made popular by Mike Porter that the objective of every strategy is to create a competitive advantage. A typical strategy development process begins with a current situation assessment. This covers analysis of past and present operating performance and environment in which an entity's performance is bench marked against industry standards....

The rise of self

"Unbridled liberty is the abode of doom".   Elliot day of retribution. Times are changing. Never has there been a time like this when knowledge seems to be in such huge abundance. Indeed, our challenge today is not the lack of information but the very superfluous nature of it. We have too much to deal with. Way to much to handle. There was a time when it took days for new-borns to open their eyes after birth. Not anymore. These days, they come aware. Eyes wide open. Even worse is how once celebrated virtues of chastity is being scorned at. I heard of a young man who recently took the lives of six others including his own because (according to his own suicide novel), he was tired of being a virgin at 22. Now, someone would say that this event is isolated. That, it has got nothing to do with anything. Man is forever in pursuit of meaning. For centuries (period before and after the age of enlightenment ), we have sought to define the purpose ...
